Boise's population is stable. I think this is happening because it is a rather small city whose citizens have no incentive to not have children, and who are not seeing anything out of the ordinary in terms of emigration or immigration.
Seattle's population is declining. I think this is happening because this area is very tech-based and the adult population there is not looking to have kids.
Orlando's population is slowly declining to slowly expanding. I think this is happening because Orlando is such a busy, touristic city with so many different industries thriving that nobody has time to raise a child.
Juneau's population is stable. I think this is happening because the city does not have a large road network so that people can easily come in and out of the city.
Portland's population is slowly declining to slowly expanding. I think this is happening because Portland's geography has made it hard to settle and start families in the past years.
